New Road Safety Commissioner for WA appointed

Adrian Warner has been appointed as Road Safety Commissioner for Western Australia for a five-year term.Mr Warner has more than 30 years’ experience in senior leadership roles Commonwealth and West Australian public sectors, as well as the private sector, and boasts strong credentials in policy and strategy development.As an avid recreational cyclist, Mr Warner is eager to provide the leadership and guidance required to implement and support the State’s road safety strategy and reduce road trauma on WA roads.“We’re a small agency and that means there’s great energy,” he said.“We have to influence broadly and there are many wheels to turn and levers to pull.“The Road Safety Commission is well regarded, and social purpose is one of the things that drives me, so between us, I am confident we make positive change and reduce road trauma in WA.” Mr Warner will report to Minister for Road Safety, Hon Michelle Roberts MLA, who is looking forward to working with the new Commissioner.“Adrian has held leadership roles across various organisations, and I expect that he will bring to this role not merely the professionalism that he has already shown, but a real commitment to road safety in Western Australia.”RESOURCE: https://www.rsc.wa.gov.au/News-Media/Latest-News/May/New-Road-Safety-Commissioner-for-WA-appointed
