AGM Treasurer EO Year Report 2021

The role of MRAWA Treasurer was handed over in July 2020. The outgoing Treasurer did not providea system to maintain Treasury records so an excel based spreadsheet was prepared / used to captureMRAWA fund transactions throughout the 2020 – 2021 financial year.The Treasury records have been issued to the President and Secretary for review and audit.The 2020 – 2021 financial year has been a busy period for MRAWA.Three grants were provided and distributed within MRAWA and RSC Safety awareness campaigns.1. Motorcycle Safety Week $ 5,511.00 (GST inc)2. National Road Safety Week $ 5,456.00 (GST inc)3. RSC Partnership $11,000.00 (GST inc)A fraction of grant funding remains in account to be returned to RSC or held in balance at theirinstruction to be used for 2021 – 2022 Safety campaigns. Grant fund management was the largestproportion of Treasury activity throughout 2020 – 2021 period.Returning and new members continue to build and have contributed to MRAWA funding balance. Twodonations totalling $50.00 were received.Merchandise sold is within Numbat Rally balance details, and petty cash. Merchandise managementis under development with the new MO with non-online shop sales controlled within petty cash.Quarterly GST has been processed (ATO refund $294.00 outstanding for the April – June period).GST payments and refunds resulted in $70.00 paid to the ATO for the 2020 – 2021 financial year.Australian Motorcycle Council membership was maintained with $400.00 subscription paid.The 2020 Numbat Rally resulted in a $178.00 loss with insurance charge ($909.00) considered.Without grant transactions considered, the largest proportion of MRAWA spend throughout 2020 –2021 was website development costs. Well invested, the website is now a modern portal for publicinformation and membership application. Well done to MRAWA Secretary / Webmaster.Other costs include MRAWA domain name ($37.00), business cards, ($270.00), office stationary /postage ($150.00), petty cash upkeep ($235.00), MRAWA ride catering ($80.00), PayPal fees($190.00), Auspost PO box fee ($205.00), Committee Xmas dinner, ($585.00), AGM catering($305.00) and MRAWA Safety Officer ACRS subscription ($130.00)MRAWA available funds at 01/07/2020: $12,006.79MRAWA available funds at 01/07/2021: $12,843.4801/07/2021 available funds include: $2,120.00 unallocated grant fundingIn summary, the MRAWA financial position remains robust to continue supporting WA motorcyclingcommunity and the RSC in the delivery safety campaigns into the 2021 – 2022 period. All Treasuryrecords detailing funding and spend transactions are held by the President and Secretary for auditingpurposes. All invoices and receipts are stored within the MRAWA email portal.
